The Ministry of Labour & Employment has taken the present shape and status through different changes and development since independence. Considering the importance of employment for socio-economic development and poverty alleviation. <br /> <br />The objective of the Ministry of Labour & Employment is to alleviate poverty through creating employment opportunities for the poor, unemployed and unskilled labour force of the country. <br />Now the ministry is under Mr. Md. Mujibul Haque Chunnu, State Minister, Ministry of Labour & Employment Govt. of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
